Welcome to The Caveman – A Survival Game

Hi everyone,

I’m excited to share a passion project I’ve been working on—a survival sandbox game with time limit. The goal is to survive, build up your resources, and ultimately take down a mammoth or.. other players.

The idea for this game came about because my wife and I love survival games, but we couldn’t find one that truly fit our style—a balance between exploration, crafting, fighting, and achieving a meaningful endgame goal within a set amount of time. We wanted something we could play, finish, and still have time to get back to our real-life responsibilities. Additionally, we wanted a game where the decisions you make—like how to allocate resources, whether to cooperate or compete, and how to prepare for the final challenge—meaningfully affect the gameplay. So, I decided to create my own.

What makes this game special?
Survival meets purpose: Gather resources, explore, and craft to survive—but your ultimate mission is to prepare for and defeat a mammoth before time runs out. Open PvP and resource competition: The game introduces pvp mechanics, allowing players to compete for limited resources. Choose your strategy wisely—will you collaborate or fight for dominance? Designed for cooperative play: While PvP is an option, the game is also designed for teamwork, making it perfect for friends or couples. A passion project: This is a personal project created with love. If others enjoy it too, that’s a bonus. 

The state of the project Right now, it’s in development, and I’ll be sharing updates, ideas, and looking for feedback from those who are interested. If you enjoy survival games or want to try something new, feel free to join.
